Bringing culture and class to cannabis
“We’re in rebel territory now”
If we’re trying to get a hold of some cannabis or even want to store our stash – our options were pretty limited and pretty unsightly. Until recently, cannabis paraphernalia came from a ‘head shop’ and we were made to feel like we were part of the seedy underbelly of society when we wanted to purchase or store our stash. No wonder women feel a stigma -we’re supposed to be upholding the morals of our households for gods sake!
To date, there has been a serious need for some beautification and some good old fashion pack design that doesn’t make it look like we’re breaking bad every time we want to buy some bud. These are the types of issues that create stereotypes and stigmas and those who know me know how little tolerance I have for either.
So I’m happy to be chatting with Emma Baron – Founder and Creative Director of Milkweed. Emma talks about why cannabis is so highly stigmatized and how beautifully and artfully crafted products can help break down that stigma and create a wonderful culture for weed.
