WELCOME to the first episode of Wine, Women & Weed! Today I’m talking to marketing guru Alison Gordon. Tune in to find out what she has to say about the cannabis industry and why YOU should consider adding it to your stash.  LISTEN HERE!

I was in university the first time I tried pot – or so my muddled memory thinks. So when ‘legalization’ was announced, I was all like ‘meh. I’d rather get behind free wine’. My experience was that it came in a bag and went into a tightly rolled joint, which seemed to be a ninja like skill and all it do was make me paranoid and hungry and then ready for bed. In short – it killed the party for me.

Now that I’ve just turned 50, I see many things in life a little to a lot differently. The things I shunned before are actually starting to play a significant role in my changed life. In the past 10 years I went from being single and working for an ad agency to becoming a mom, a wife a business owner and now a member of the menopause crowd. So you can bet your ass I’m going to do my research and find ways to simplify my life again. And by simplify – I mean re-introduce sleep back into my schedule and find ways to find some calm and some good old body and mind health.

To that end, I’ve been doing a lot of research about cannabis and it certainly has a ton of benefits for all aspects of my life – from motherhood to menopause. Wine, women & weed is my journey from innocent bystander to interested potential consumer and today my eyes are opened up wide by my chat with Alison Gordon – a marketing maven and CEO of 48 North. Not only is Alison CEO –she is the FIRST CEO in the cannabis industry – worldwide! So it is a real honour to be able to ask questions and learn a few things that really inspire me to keep on learning about the world of weed. As a woman – there are so many benefits from recreational to medicinal. And the benefits don’t end there. So join me on my sleuthing and see if there’s a fit for cannabis in your own life.
