Survey Says! The interesting story this new study tells us about women in cannabis
All data tells a story and today I’m talking to Jennifer Whetzel, Founder of Ladyjane Branding and Windy Borman, a multi-award-winning director to discuss the story that the new “Women in Cannabis Study tells us about the state of women’s roles and challenges in the cannabis industry. It also gives us some valuable insight on consumption, acceptance and the still-existing stigma around women and weed.
But more than that, it shows us that even though the cannabis industry is new and full of hope, it still wrestles with diversity and inclusion among other issues women typically face in the workforce.
The numbers tell a story
Windy is working with Jennifer to bring the numbers to life through storytelling and it shows us that while cannabis has the potential to be a female-forward industry, we still have a long way to go, baby.
The study is important in establishing a baseline because until now, we really don’t know how women are doing in this industry and what we can do to make it better.
Both Jennifer and Windy are passionate about collecting and dissecting the data in order to put strategies and plans in place so that women can thrive in the exciting new frontier of cannabis.
